Melissa Sigler, OD, FAAO
Dr. Sigler completed her residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the Illinois College of Optometry. She enjoys providing vision care for infants and children. Dr. Sigler is an assistant professor in the pediatrics/binocular vision department at the Illinois Eye Institute providing clinical instruction to optometry students. She has experience in evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of strabismus, amblyopia, accommodative dysfunctions and vergence dysfunctions. Dr. Sigler also provides developmental testing, diagnosis and therapy for visual perceptual deficits and oculomotor disorders.
Rana Salameh, OD
Dr. Rana Salameh is originally from Oak Lawn, Illinois and got her Bachelors of Science degree from Benedictine University in Lisle. She later went on to Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry in Downers Grove and earned her Doctorate where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society. She completed her externships all over the Chicagoland area with different optometrists and ophthalmologists with fitting different specialty contact lenses, dry eyes, and myopia control, which fueled her passion to further pursue those areas. Dr. Salameh has been with the practice since August of 2022 and loves working with patients of all ages. Dr. Salameh is able to provide patient care in both English and Arabic. When she’s not working, Dr. Salameh likes to spend time with her family and her cat, Iris. She also enjoys reading and travelling.
Sarah El-Khazendar, OD, FAAO
Dr. Sarah El-Khazendar earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry and then went on to complete her residency in vision therapy and brain injury rehabilitation at University of California, Berkeley. Dr. El-Khazendar is passionate about working with vision therapy and pediatrics patients as well as special needs population. Dr. El-Khazendar is a faculty member at Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry. She enjoys being involved in the community providing vision screenings and mentorship opportunities to students and youth. Dr. El-Khazendar has presented lectures and research at several national meetings, including American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
